Aseptic Processing at Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Workforce Training Center hosted its first Virtuosi pilot program for adult learners in May. All training sessions will be conducted in person, as this is the preferred method selected by industry partners. According to program coordinators, implementing the innovative virtual reality (VR) and two-dimensional (2D) immersive education tool at RVCC has been a resounding success, revolutionizing the training in aseptic processing for adult learners. By integrating cutting-edge VR and immersive 2D simulations, learners can now experience highly realistic cleanroom environments and aseptic techniques without the limitations of physical space and resources.
This immersive technology has provided a dynamic, interactive learning platform that enhances engagement and retention of complex concepts. Simultaneously, a pilot program was launched to expose adult learners to these advanced tools, allowing them to navigate aseptic processing scenarios in a controlled, risk-free virtual setting.
The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the training’s clarity, convenience, and effectiveness. This dual approach has elevated the quality of education and prepared learners more comprehensively for real-world applications, underscoring RVCC’s commitment to innovation and excellence in workforce development.
The pilot program will run again in August, offering students from Bound Brook High School the opportunity to be introduced to these advanced tools.
