In order to meet the Council’s commitment outlined in the NJ Presidents’ Council’s Statewide Transfer Agreement, the Learning Innovations Committee invites each college to review its current inventory of General Education courses and related materials twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. This process gives colleges the opportunity to submit courses to be reviewed by a subcommittee of Academic Vice Presidents. If the subcommittee determines that the course conforms to the General Education Foundation Framework, then the course will be designated as general education, included on NJ’s Community College unified statewide general education course list, and transmitted to NJ Transfer.
